The course “How to Promote Social Well-Being, Positive Emotions, and Integration through Music Therapy,” organized by university lecturer Emanuela Izabela Vieriu, a pianist and music composer at George Enescu University in Iași, as part of the Erasmus+ Project “Music Therapy and Psychological Methods for the Recovery from Trauma, Anxiety, and Negative Emotions of Ukrainian Refugees,” aims to explore the ways in which music therapy can be utilized to promote social well-being, positive emotions, and integration within the community.
Participants will be guided in understanding how music can be used to enhance social connection, improve mood, and facilitate integration into new and diverse environments. Under the expert guidance of the lecturer, specific techniques and strategies of music therapy will be discussed and applied to support the development of healthy social relationships, amplify positive emotions, and facilitate the adaptation and integration process of Ukrainian refugees into their new community.
This course provides participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to use music therapy as an effective means to improve quality of life and support the process of psychological recovery and reintegration of individuals affected by trauma and anxiety.
